Why a visible tag still matters
Microchips are important, but a visible ID tag lets a neighbour, walker or passer-by contact you without needing a scanner.
Simple information works best
Short engraving is easier to read. Two clear lines keep the front focused, while optional back engraving gives you room for another contact detail.
- Pet name or family name
- Irish phone number
- Optional reverse side for extra contact information
Dog ID tags, dog name tags and pet tags
Dog ID tag, dog name tag and pet tag are common terms for the same kind of collar identification tag. The important choice is a tag that suits the collar and leaves enough space for clear, readable engraving.
Good to know before you order.
Can I order a dog ID tag for delivery in Ireland?
